Pier Rules

  • No running or riding bicycles / scooters on the pier.
  • Walkways must always be unobstructed.
  • Boat slips are for the exclusive use of the owners unless previously approved by the Board.
  • Boat slips are assigned to owners by the Board based on the seniority of the owners.
  • Owners are responsible for all damage to the pier caused by their vessel.
  • Owners will comply with all requirements of the Michigan pier permit.
  • As required in the Michigan permit, vessels may not be moored to the east and west ends of the pier overnight.
  • The waterway to the east of the pier walkway and the beach is a designated swim area. As such, vessels should not be moored in the area other than for short periods for boarding and unloading passengers.
  • All permanent or seasonal shore stations must be approved by the Board before placement.
  • Vessels not stored on shore stations will be secured by cleats attached to the pier in a manner approved by the Board.
  • Vessels not stored on shore stations will provide bumpers to protect the pier in a manner approved by the Board.
  • No modifications of any kind are to be made on the pier without Board approval.
  • All canopies will be tan in color.
  • Only unmodified 14/3, 14 ga. Water resistant electric cords or better will be permissible to plug in on the pier
  • Boat shore stations may not be stored on the beach during winter.
  • Jet ski stations that aren’t being used must be removed from the lake and stored in the owner’s garage. Jet ski stations may only be stored on the beach in a designated location from October thru April.
